Learn the basics as you take in the sights. An experience that will introduce you to the thrill of moving under sail in the waters off Fremantle, Western Australia. 

All welcome from beginners to advanced

Get as hands on as you like, or simply enjoy some time on the water.

An IYT Accredited Sailing School, Eventide delivers recreational sail training and private sailing experiences in Perth, Western Australia, catering for all levels of experience.

Eventide is a spacious and comfortable sailing catamaran offering an opportunity to experience sailing in style, on a stable platform that doesnt heel!

Try Sailing is a relaxed, fun hands on sailing experience suitable for age 8 and above

Skippered by our senior instructor, you'll take in the beauty of the Perth coastline from the water.

This is as active as you'd like it to be.  You can raise and trim the sails and even take the helm. 

It's also a great opportunity to discuss your ideas and interests in sailing with like minded people and a skipper who has extensive sailing and cruising experience

Set sail and learn about:

Basic Safety equipment

Vessel layout

Basic deck equipment

How sails work

Basic sail handling skills

Basic ropework and learn how to tie a knot or two!

Includes:

lifejackets & safety equipment

Course material (a great  resource for you to keep)

IYT Try Sailing Certificate of completion

Time on the water (sea time which can be used towards other IYT Sailing courses/qualifications)

Morning/afternoon tea provided (fruit, pastries, OJ, tea,coffee, water) 

What to Wear/Bring:

Please wear comfortable weather appropriate clothing, sun protection and a hat. 

Wet weather gear / warm jacket if required

Suitable light soled shoes - Please no dark soled shoes as they mark the deck

Departs:

Port Coogee Marina, end of Pantheon Avenue, North Coogee

Free parking onsite 

Departs: 10am

Finish time: 1pm

Departs: 2pm

Finish Time: 5pm

Please arrive 15 minutes early and wait on the public boardwalk at the marina (directly at the end of Pantheon Avenue, over the road from the Australian Brewhouse)

This is a public tour, please be aware that late arrival may result in forfeiture of your booking.

Minimum Numbers:

Minimum of 4 participants required for this activity. 

If minimum numbers are not reached we will contact you to arrange an alternative date that suits you.

If a reschedule is not possible you will be refunded in full.
