Rottnest Island Explorer - Private Group Sailing Experience for up to 12 people

All private bookings are tailored to your needs - the below is a suggestion for your day aboard Eventide. 

We will contact you personally when we receive your booking to see how we can best tailor your day to suit your needs/wishes.

Eventide offers sailing comfort for private groups up to 12 people, who value intimate, personalised experiences.

Limited passenger numbers ensure optimum guest satisfaction and pleasure - perfect for those who appreciate privacy and personalised service.

On Eventide we are dedicated to making our guests entire experience one of safety, enjoyment and relaxation.

Your sailing adventure departs at 9am for an interactive 2 hour sail to Rottnest. Learn the basics, hoist the sails, grind the winches, take the helm or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of movement under sail.

The skipper will choose from one of the many beautiful bays at Rottnest depending on the winds of the day, to ensure the best experience.

Enjoy time at anchor relaxing, swimming, SUPing, kayaking, and enjoy lunch on board. (BYO or let us know if you'd like us to arrange catering at extra cost)

At 3.30ish  you'll be taken ashore to explore the island and hopefully grab the mandatory quokka selfie, and perhaps drop into one of the islands bars for a celebratory drink before heading back on the ferry at 5.30/6pm.

 Ferry tickets for $35 per person can be arranged for you to return to B Shed Fremantle, alternatively you can book your own return ferry at a time that suits you. Please indicate if you would like to add return ferry fares to your booking by selecting the optional extra and indicating the number of passengers.

PLEASE NOTE: We suggest a ferry home for the most comfortable experience, and our guests have told us they like to maximise their time on Rottnest Island. The ferry back to the mainland is 30 minutes, often a good alternative to a 2 hour sail as the seabreeze in Perth can be very strong at this time of the day, and whilst not dangerous, it can be an "adventurous" sail back to the mainland. After a very full day of sailing swimming eating and drinking a ferry ride back means you can enjoy a cocktail at Pinkys, a beer at the Pub or catch your quokka selfie, before boarding your ferry for a quick 30 minute return to the mainland

All sailing experiences include:

Exclusive use of Eventide, skipper and crew

The opportunity to get hands on and learn some sailing basics. Grind the winches, trim the sails and take the helm, or simply kick back, relax and enjoy the sailing experience

Tailored itinerary with destinations including Garden Island, Carnac Island, Rottnest Island (please enquire as extra hours required) and coastal anchorages 

Full galley with plates, glasses, cutlery, serving platters etc

2 fridges, large icebox (ice included)

Beach towels for all guests

Bottled water and tea, coffee and milk.

2 kayaks

2 stand up paddleboards

BYO food and drinks (catering packages available on request. please indicate when booking)

Rottnest Landing Fees

Return Ferry to B Shed Fremantle can be arranged at an additional cost - please indicate number of ferry tickets required.

Departs Port Coogee, free parking onsite 

Suggested departure time: 9.30

Finish time: approx 4pm depending on your return option.

We will discuss your private sailing experience with you to ensure we understand what you'd like to achieve from the day.

We require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.

We will then finalise the details of your booking with you and the remaining 50% will be payable 2 weeks prior to the date of your private sailing experience.
